The Book Launch Party is Coming Together—One Step at a Time

I swear, planning a book launch party feels a little like trying to wrangle a herd of caffeinated squirrels. It’s exciting, chaotic, and every time I think I have a handle on things, something new pops up that I hadn’t even considered before. But despite the madness, things are coming together in ways I never could have imagined.

Food, Books, and a Little Bit of Magic

First, let’s talk about one of the most important aspects of any event—the food. Because let’s be real, you could have the most beautiful venue, the best entertainment, and a life-changing book reading, but if there’s no good food, people will notice.

Luckily, I’ve locked in not one, but two fantastic food vendors for the party. Crumbl will be on-site, serving up their famously decadent cookies, because what better way to celebrate a book launch than with a sugar coma? And if that wasn’t enough, Lisa’s Lemon Shakers & Fries—a local favorite—is bringing their ridiculously good fresh-squeezed lemonade and fries. So basically, come for the book, stay for the snacks.

A Wish List That’s Slowly Becoming Reality

I’ve also been working through my Amazon wish list for the event, little by little. Some things I’ve purchased myself, but there have also been a few incredibly kind souls who have contributed—something that completely caught me off guard in the best way. The generosity and support from people who believe in this book, who are just as excited about this launch as I am, is overwhelming. In a good way. In a sit-back-and-stare-at-the-ceiling-because-you’re-so-grateful-you-don’t-know-what-to-do-with-yourself kind of way.

The Cover: The Final Piece of the Puzzle

While all this is happening, I’ve also been working closely with Markee Books to finalize the professional cover design for Marked by Fate. Now, for those of you who don’t know—graphic design is actually something I do. I’ve spent years honing those skills, and yet, when it came to designing my own book cover, I hit a wall. Because this book? This book means too much to me. I needed an outside perspective—someone who could look at this with fresh eyes, unclouded by years of attachment, sleepless nights, and the sheer weight of what this book represents for me.

Letting go of control (even just a little bit) wasn’t easy, but I know it’s the right decision. And seeing this cover finally come together? It’s surreal. It’s the moment where this book starts to feel less like an abstract dream and more like something real, something people will hold in their hands.

The Countdown Continues

We’re getting closer. With every new step, every piece that falls into place, I can feel the reality of this launch sinking in. And let me tell you—it’s equal parts exhilarating and terrifying.

There’s still work to do. Still details to iron out, emails to send, lists to check (and double-check, and probably triple-check). But for the first time, I’m starting to see it—the vision I had for this launch, this book, this moment.

And I can’t wait to share it with you.
