The playlist for Marked by Fate wasn’t something I created after the book was finished — it was part of the heartbeat that helped me write it. Music has always been the way I make sense of the world, and building this playlist was how I stepped deeper into Noa and Christopher’s world until it felt real beneath my hands.
Every song here played a role in shaping the story: the mood of a chapter, the rhythm of a character’s thoughts, the emotional storms they’re wrestling with when the words alone weren’t enough. Sometimes the right lyric cracked something open in me. Sometimes a melody captured an entire scene before it ever hit the page. These tracks helped me understand how my characters breathe, how they love, how they panic, and how they break — and how they try so hard to put themselves back together again.
Creating this playlist was fun, yes — but it was also grounding. It helped me build the world of Marked by Fate into something alive, something that thrums under the surface with feeling and grit and hope. I’m excited to finally share that with you.
Welcome to the soundtrack behind the story.

Why This Song?
This song carries the electric ache of waking up inside a life you never chose. It echoes Christopher’s earliest truth — a boy engineered for destiny, staring into a world that already decided who he’s supposed to be. There’s a frantic edge beneath the melody, a hunger for freedom wrapped in the terror of what it might cost. It mirrors the prologue’s quiet spark of rebellion before he even has the words for why he feels wrong inside his own story.
Character(s) the
Song Represents:
Christopher Hawthorne
Fun Fact!: I thought this one was a little on the nose, at least the song title was, for the prologue of the book.
